Catenate is an IT company with more than 130 employees and six European offices. We offer our customers business integration and software solutions, as well as technology and consulting services. We are active in the fields of telecommunications, automotive, finance, energy and public administration.

Your area of responsibility includes :

• development of the backend for a web based application
• review code of other developers
• development and refactor of REST based services
• documentation of the codebase
• ensuring code quality by monitoring and applying checkstyle conventions
• improvement of test coverage
• converting functional requirement into technical specifications
• involvement in deployment and releases of builds for the project
• improvement of the application architecture
• provide architecture consultation for other projects
• improvement of the develop process

Here is what you should bring:

• be a teamplayer
• very good interaction and communication skills
• employe a autonomous working style
• be fluent in english, german is a bonus
• be willing to code review collegues / accept code review by senior collegues 
• be a self learner
• be reliable and a dedicated problem solver
• project experience with Java SE, Java EE, Spring, Maven and Hibernate
• project experience in designing web services (SOAP/REST)
• project experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)

Some of the following would be nice to have:

• CI with Jenkins 1 & 2
• Python
• Javascript
• Apache Tomcat
• JUNIT
• german language proficency
